On Friday, August 15th, leap, the City of Los Angeles and the local community of South Gate celebrated the completion of the gorgeous mural inspired by Lizeth Gutierrez, the winner of the Style is Power essay contest.
The ribbon cutting ceremony, highlighted by key-note speaker Gloria Molina, was the culmination of months of hard work by dozens of people, all united by the same goal. To all who supported this effort, this is as much your mural as the community where it lives.
