Each of our school sites is committed to providing a comprehensive after-school experience that integrates our four pillars and four cornerstones (shown below).

Nutritious Snack
Snack is the critical energy boost children need to complete their day. We show the children what healthy snacks look like. We allow them to see for themselves the physical benefits to choosing nutritious foods. Our goal is to combat childhood obesity and the aliments that come from poor diets.
Homework Club
A dedicated hour to complete homework. We hire college educated tutors to make sure their assignments are completed correctly. We have learned that children will often “finish” their homework quickly but with many errors. Our goal is to make sure students are able to complete their assignments, receive help when needed and have their assignments checked for errors.
Enrichment Classes
Over the course of the school year, students are exposed to over 20 enrichment classes. Past classes have included chess, photography, tango, cooking, music, debate, gardening, acting, art and many more. We believe that amazing things happen when a child discovers a skill. Our goal is to awaken a dormant talent in students that they will sustain and dream about.
FUN Workshop
Many students in the inner city have been socially promoted – failing to master basic skills in reading, math and language while moving up grade levels. FUN Workshop is not a time for homework, but a time for FUNdamental work. Our goal is to help identify where students are fundamentally suffering and give them the tools, drills and activities to catch up.
Another goal of the FUN Workshop is to improve each student's STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) Test results. The results of our latest evaluation are shown below.

Career Day
A professional from the community (fire fighter, veterinarian, librarian, dentist, city official, architect, etc) shares their career with our students. Our goal is to expose students to the countless career options so they have more possibilities to consider than teacher, entertainer or athlete.
